This course provides an overview of the TCP/IP protocols and how they are used in relation to the seven layers of the OSI model. After taking this course, learners will understand the protocols used in the network communications process.

- Discuss the functionality the TCP/IP suite protocol provides in the OSI model
- Differentiate between various network protocols still in use
- Identify classful IP ranges and their subnet masks
- Identify the purpose of subnetting
- Identify the differences between private and public network addressing schemes
- Identify and differentiate between IP addressing methods
